The pond and rockery – One of the seven gardens of “OpdeHaar” 

The pond was constructed in 1994 and now looks as though it has always been there

In the spring and autumn, the acers give a lot of colour.

The spring is heralded in by Caltha palustris around the pond  and in June the lovely lily-like flowers of the Zantedeschia aethiopica in their full glory can be seen.

During the summer months the irises: Iris kaemferi, Iris pseudoacorus and Iris versicolor are in flower

Syringa microphylla Suberba  gives a powerful perfume around the pond in May and the reflections in the water, with the goldfish and the astilbes, are also lovely.
