Arbutus unedo "Rubra"

Photo taken on 27.12.2004 in the rose garden.  The common name for this shrub is "Strawberry tree" and it is remarkable that it bears flowers and fruit at the same time. The resemblance to strawberries does not apply to the taste and "unedo" in latin means "I only eat one" however it can be eaten.
