Photo taken on 11.09.2005 in the summer borders. Ceratostigma willmottianum is a deciduous shrub from western China named after Miss Ellen Ann Willmott, a celebrated English gardener (1860 - 1934). The plant has fine reddish brown autumn foliage. It is not fully hardy and should be treated as an herbaceous perennial and cut back to ground level in winter. It grows to a height of about 60cm.
