Musa sikkimensis

Photo taken on 3.08.2007 in the tropical border. Musa sikkimensis is not so vigorous as the Musa basjoo, but it does have an interesting reddish colouration to the leaves. Both Musa basjoo and musa sikkimensis require protection in the winter - see "garden-tropical border- bananas in The Netherlands" for more details.
